Jakob asked, "Is Nollie part way elf??", I think he might be because his ears kind of poke out."
we are thinking of pushing Christmas back a few days, our reasoning to the kids why Santa may be a few days late is that Chris is working those days, but truly it is beacause they have lame parents this year who procrastinated shopping or catching the holiday spirit, we don't even have a tree yet!!
it is really about that baby Jesus and according to the kids Christmas isn't his real birthday anyhow so why not celebrate it whenever you'd like.

We finally got our tree, but as of tonight it is still in the stand NAKED! No lights and no ornaments. Do you think I can just wrap a big ribbon around it and call it good. Anyways a couple of years ago, Tucker and I decided that we really needed to bring the true spirit of Christmas back into our home and family. So each year around Christmas time, we pick a service project to do together as a family. This year we decided to adopt our local Hospice House, for family home evening we are taken homemade Christmas cards and baked goods and we thought we would do some caroling while we were there, we actually decided to adopt them for the whole year. We decided that we would decorate the patients doors for each of the holidays and do diiferent things for them. I have to say it has taken the stress away for the most part. The kids still get gifts but we try to keep our focus on the service and what Christmas is really about. Don't stress - it doesn't matter when you have Christmas, every couple of years we have to move Christmas because Tucker works. We just tell the kids the Santa wants us to celebrate as a family and he makes special trips for doctors, nurses, firefighters, policemen, etc. Our kids think that is neat. Anyways now that I have babbled on and on I want to wish you guys a very Merry Christmas.
